HOW DOES INSURANCE WORK WHILST MY
VEHICLE IS IN STORAGE?

The insurance coverage of any possession in our care relies entirely on the customers own insurance policy. Autohouse Storage does not carry an insurance policy that will cover customer vehicles or items in the event of fire, theft, extreme weather event, malicious damage etc. It is imperative that all customers notify their insurance company of the details of their storage arrangement with us before the storage term commences. Our experienced team has been in the business of providing specialist storage for motorcycles, trucks, cars, jet skis in the Greater Brisbane area and more for a long time. 

As motoring and boating enthusiasts we love nothing more than sharing the knowledge we’ve gained over all those years. Here are the answers to some of the questions we get asked a lot.

You will need to ensure you have adequate insurance cover for your asset while it is in storage with us. Our own insurance policy does not cover our customers items stored at our facility. In an event such as fire, theft, extreme weather event or malicious damage, you’ll need to claim from your own insurance policy to cover any damage or loss.

It is imperative that you notify your insurance company of your storage arrangements with us. Include details such as our address, type of storage (indoor or outdoor), and our security features (back-to-base alarm system, CCTV, bollards etc).

Our minimum storage term is 8 weeks. You are more than welcome to remove your vehicle from storage within that time, however you will still be charged for the full 8 weeks.

We can facilitate drop-offs and collections 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, as long as it is arranged at least 24 hours in advance! Call us on (07) 3557 9800 to find out more, or alternatively email us at admin@autohousestorage.com.au.

You can pay via our fully automated direct debit system on a month to month basis. If you wish to have the monthly amount debited from your credit/debit card, that will attract a 2.5% fee.
